The Solomon’s Knot Hat was inspired by the Celtic Solomon Knot and is derived from the X Knot cable pattern found in Norah Gaughan’s Sourcebook. This is my 2nd pattern that is a variation of the X Knot cable pattern. The first pattern was the Solomon’s Trellis hat, which is worked in a bulky yarn. I have had so much fun with this particular motif and variations of this motif. You can expect a variety of patterns derived from the X Knot. Thank you, Norah, for your inspiring creativity.
